PREAMBLE
Whereas, it has been necessary to form a non- profit Organization for the purpose of promoting and developing through democratic means the fight against drugs abuse.
Recognizing our diverse areas of operation and target populations, and noting that our goals can be effectively realized through sound organizational and institutional development, better resource sharing, and common approach.
INTERPRETATION
In this Constitution unless it is specifically stipulate or where the context indicates otherwise the following words and expressions shall have the following meanings:
A.S.C.A.D shall mean ASIAN CITIES AGAINST DRUG ABUSE
Asian Cities Against Drug Abuse is a non-profit making organization. it shall be an umbrella body, having continuous succession and the capacity to acquire rights and obligations in its own name.
NAME
The name of the organization shall be ASIAN CITIES AGAINST DRUG ABUSE (hereinafer referred to as A.S.C.A.D)
REGISTERED OFFICE
The registered office of A.S.C.A.D shall be the Historical City of Melaka. The physical and postal address shal be: The office of Melaka Historic City Council, Melaka, Malaysia.
